Ask parents to bring in little things they would otherwise throw away or toss in a recycle bin like: empty paper towel and TP rolls, small (clean) yogurt cups, tissue paper from packaging, corks, clean tops from bottles like ketchup, mustard, dish soap tops, etc. Kids love to tape and glue odds and ends together to make their creations.

I like going to the goodwill on weekends to find bags of craft stuff. Always sooo cheap, and you can find some good things in there!
