This past year was tough and we spent a lot of time looking for ways to increase enrollment and improve our center. We found the Pepsi refresh everything project and would appreciate your help. Please vote for our project "Extreme Recess" daily during the month of March and pass the link to as many people as possible.

Thanks for your support and we hope everyone has a better year.

We are doing fine right now, but we had a rough summer.

I think the biggest expense in this business is payroll so that is the first area that I would investigate. Otherwise, I would try to cut back on paper goods, art supplies, etc. if need be. My rule is to never cut anything that will lower the level of care children receive...as long as you can help it.

We are doing well. The economy has not really hit us and I am praying that it does not!

Our school is ok.... could be better. Just got a call from a school down the road who is down 10% this year. I think it is the economy. In the past 2 weeks I have rec'd several calls.... I am praying.... and reaching out to the community. One of my faults... not advertising when things are great... If I did... maybe I would never see a dip!

We had to cut every corner we could, first was payroll, by cutting everybody by a half hour everyday really helped. Also I have been pushing FREE fundraisers like crazy and it helps so much. If anyone needs any info I have a bunch. These programs paid for most of our school supplies! Moneis we didn't need to take from the budget.

Danielle,

I think an important thing to remember too is to still advertise in the down times. That is one of the things you see from companies of all shapes, sizes and industries. They think a bad economy means they shouldn't advertise. When really, parents HAVE to take their kids somewhere. So it may as well be you, with the flashy ad or flyer ( : Just my two cents ( :

We've been struggling some, but we see glimmers of hope! Our inquiry calls have picked up, and we just finished a fundraiser that met its goal. We're trying new ways to market, like having more info available on the website, a banner in front of the building, etc. We're also asking parents to donate some basics like baby wipes and sanitizing gel, and are having some success with that.
